Our hydrosols, also known as flower waters, are made by distilling fresh leaves, fruits, flowers, and other aromatic plant materials. We do not separate the essential oils from our hydrosols, so they contain similar but more subtle properties than pure essential oils. They will have a lighter scent than pure essential oils, and they can be applied directly without diluting them. They also contain medicinal water-soluble plant chemicals. They have a plethora of uses including as perfumes, deodorants, facial toners, air fresheners and aromatherapy. They are mildly disinfectant and make a wonderful base for household cleansers and antiseptic sprays. Use them alone, or combine them with other hydrosols and essential oils to make your favorite blends. They have varying shelf lives and are best kept refrigerated.
